Site status at the time of survey :
Many brick and mud walls, temple walls, courtyard walls and yurt foundations are visible on the place. Relic hunters dug on the place. As the site is far from settlements and it is difficult to approach, many ruins have remained. Southwest of the complex there is an ovoo on the top of the hill with the three mantras of Rigsümgombo. The site is listed under the number of 101 in the aimag or sum as a board indicates.
The complex is situated in a beautiful landscape within huge mountains and passes. There is a source south of the monastery, but it has dried out. There are many courtyards where one yurt foundation is visible. The remains of the complex are magnificent! There was a huge assembly hall with maybe a yurt shaped and square shaped buildings on its east side. Behind the Assembly hall a large courtyard was situated, housing the yurts. 4 stupas seem to stand on the west side. East of the complex could be seen a Mongolian inscription made of white stones (pebbles) and southwest of the complex, an ovoo is situated on the top of a hill with the 3 mantras of the 3 Bodhisattva, written in Tibetan and made of white stones, is still visible. According to the local governor (sumiin darga) 300 monks belonged once to the monastery. It was destroyed in 1937.
According to the local governor of the sum, three large pots of the monastery have been saved. Two of them are placed in front of the local government building. The third one was delivered to Natsagdorj to his temple in Arvaikheer (ӨХАХ 039). The 120th anniversary of the birth of Sodnomtseren was celebrated in 2002. For this special occasion a stupa was erected dedicated to Sodnomtseren in the courtyard of Divaajingiin yerööl monastery in the centre of Bogd sum. (ӨХБД 053)
