The site of the monastery is situated to the north-west and about 50 kilometres from the Sum centre, in a flat area between hills, where many winter dwellings (övöljöö) are situated. The foundations of about ten small buildings (possibly made of wood) can be made out, marked by stones in lines – the stone foundation of these buildings that once stood here. All the foundations are square shaped. Pieces of brass pots, old Chinese coins, and pieces of object like a scissor were found. (No brick or wood.) No trace of diggings at the site. The monks’ well is to the south-east, near a winter dwelling.
