Булган аймаг Хутаг өндөр сум. Бэлсэгийн хийд /Ганданшадавлин, Тэндэглин/ Хутаг өндөр сумын Ханатай багийн төвөөс зүүн зүг 38 км орчимд баруун Бэлсэгийн голын Бэлсэг овооны орчимд Бэлсэгийн хийд оршиж байв.1891 оны үед энэ нутгийн лам Билэнсэнгэ гэдэг хүний үүсгэл санаачилгаар байгуулагдсан бөгөөд 3 дацн 3 дугантай 50 шахам лам хуврагтай байжээ.Энэ хийдэд гавьж Түвдэн, Санжаа нарын эрдэм чадалотай лам нар хурж байв.Цогчин, Манба, Жүдийн дацан сахиусн дуган Майдарын дуган, Хайлангийн дуган баруун хойноо 1 суваргатай байжээ.Зуны эхэн сард Бэлсэгийн овоог тахидаг дараа нь Майдар эргэдэг ба намрын эхэн сард Ганжуур эргэдэг байв.1937 оны дундуур уг хийд хаагдсан ба дуган дацанг 1940-өөд оны сүүлчээр нураажээ. Description of location :
The site is located 8 km. from the north bank of Egiin gol river and is east of Khantai bag center. In the north of the site is Ugalz mountain, in the west is Bumbaa and south is Khereet mountain.

Notes :
Belseg is a rapidly flowing small river which runs from the Khantai range mountains.
Nto .orth (2 km.) of the site is sacred Dund ovoo, the west (3 km.) is Khanginakh ovoo and south (3.5 km.) is Sant ovoo. The ruins of a temple located in the Kharganat hill are located 2 km. southeast of the site.
The monastery consisted of three monastic colleges and three temples. Many scholar monks were graduated from the three monastic colleges including Tubden gabj and Sanjaa. Tubden gabj was arrested during the purges of 1935-1936 and put in prison. After 25 years, he was released from the prison in 1960 and started to serve at Gandantegchenlin monastery, Ulaanbaatar.
During 1949-1950, the Belseg monastery was destroyed and temple construction materials were brought to Khantai bag center by ox carts to build a storage house.
