Ar Shavartiin am valley is well known by local people. The area is scarcely inhabited though some families have moved here from Bayanönjüül sum. The monastic name, Olon Shandiin khural, was not known by people living nearby and they did not know about a monastery there. However, in Ar Shavartiin am there are some springs, two wells and a nice flat area where an assembly could have existed.
