Reading texts at the request of individuals is for fixed prices here. The reception for this is on the right inside the temple. In the courtyard apart from the 3 stupas there are prayer wheels, a platform for calling monks to ceremonies and a kitchen building also.

The old monastery Zoogiin Khural situated about 3-4 kilometres to the north of the aimag centre, was revived in October 1991 in Mandalgovi city centre under the name Dashgimpellin (Tib: bkra shis dge `phel gling). The first abbot was Dambajamts (till his death in 1996) who was a vice chanting master (baga unzad) in the old Zoogiin Khural. Other old monks, about 40 in number, also joined the monastic community here. For example, Tovoo was the main chanting master, (ikh unzad) in Zoogiin Khural, Tsevegsüren, who was a disciplinary monk (gesgüi) in Bogdiin Khüree’s Toisamlin aimag, and Yadamdorj, who was the main chanting master in Dugantiin Khiid. Tovoo monk became the main chanting master here. (He also held this position in Gandan monastery in Ulaanbaatar.) Among the 40 old monks there were other monks from the monasteries such as Üizen jas, Narangiin jas, Mökhiin khiid, Delgeriin Choir and Sangiin Dalai khiid.
Today there are only two old monks alive, one being Dashnyamiin Dorj or Bor Dorj from the old Shine shavi monastery, and the other Ch. Samdanperenlei.
In 1994 a temple building was erected (now it stands on the left) but it burnt down later and the room is not used. In 2004 the present temple building was built. There are 3 stupas. The one of the left was built in 1999. Two stand on the right – one (on the furthest right) was built in 1996 and the middle one was built in memory of Tsogt-Ochir monk.
Currently there are about 30 monks. There are two main chanting monks (Ikh Unzad) Luvsansanjaa and Agvaanjamts, two second chanting monks, Luvsanbazar and Choijoo-Odser, 2 Ded lams, Mönkhochir and Luvsandamchoi and a disciplinary master (Gesgüi), Dambachoimbel.
On the 8th of the lunar month the ceremony of Ikh Manal, Ganjuur, Dorjzodov and Taravchembo are held, and on the 14th Magtaal is recited, on the 15th Ganjuur, Doodüdva and Sanduin Jüd are held, on the 29th 10 Khangal ceremony is held and on the 30th Ganjuur, Dorjzodov and Taravchembo are recited. A wide variety of yearly ceremonies are held also.
Inside the temple there is a golden stupa prepared in memory of the first abbot here. (It was made in 2007 on the 30th June.) There are 3 sculptures of deities, which were ordered from Nepal. These are Gombo (the main deity of this monastery), Goviin lkhaa, Buddha, Maitreya and Namsrai.
In the monastery the Maitreya circumambulation is held from 1997 on yearly on the 15th of the first autumn month. The Ganjuur circumambulation ceremony is held annually from 1998 on. The Ganjuur volumes were bought from Kumbum monastery in Tibet. The Khailen retreat is not held here. Presently 2-3 monks study in Goman monastery in India. Many young monks (about 8) finished their studies in the Zanabazar University in Gandan. They were specialised on philosophy and astrology, literature and Tibetan language, Sanskrit language and some on arts in the school of Pürevbat monk. The vice head of the monastery is a Zoch master, and performs the ceremony Lüijin on request.

The data on Active Temples was collected in 2006 (UB) / 2007 (National Survey). It provides a snapshot of the revival of the monasteries in Mongolia at that time. Undoubtedly many things will have changed since this survey was done.
