Status of site at time of survey :
When Sang city was becoming free from Manj’s domination, most of the temples were destroyed and it still not fixed yet. So basically history of the place has completely gone. There was no trace of any building around the place of the Geser temple, on west-north side of Sang city. From the source, remains were dug out and residents left their trash on it. And during the beginning of 1990, people completely destroyed the land by trying to plant vegetable and wheat.

Site used for other purpose :
Now the Sang city’s Geser temple’s remaining is in protection of the city because it is historic place Even though it is a protected historic place, it has not been fixed and it is falling apart and there is activation going on. Since 1990, for about 2-3 years a person tried to plant wheat but was failed. Recent years, Gesar temple’s remains are being destroyed by people, who have been breaking the bricks and digging the remains out.

The history of this name is around Dashichilin Sum’s area suddenly rained with grains, when Erdenezuun monastery was being built. When 3rd Dalai Lam Soglamjamts brought Ravnai from Tibet, some people gathered grains and planted them on ground so since then it was called Traich. 3. There were two monasteries remaining. 5. To the north of the remains, the Berkh mountain is sacred and on that mountain about 1,000 monks sacramental tassels were put and people said there are still some left.
