Description of location :
The site occupies steppe rangeland and is located 30 km. east of Darkhan sum centre. To the north of the site is a mountain Delgertsogt, to the west is a mountain Aguit, to the east is a mountain Ikh Baga Salkhit Uul, to the southeast is a mountain Barchigeriin Uul and a spring Barchi Geriin Bulag, to the south is a mountain range Ergenegiin Uulst and to the west of the site are Taliin Us, Avdiriin Tal and Guunii Zoo. A mountain named Durvuljin at the back of the site is worshiped by the locals.

There are stone temple bases from temples made from stones and wood. when the site served as the sum centre of Mandal, the temple buildings were used for trading enterprises. The establishment of the sum saw the buildings used as western Artiyam’s embankment, eastern School embankment and an administration building to the north of the site. Remaining from the former monastery site are 1 main temple, 2 monk dwellings (with capacities to house 2–3 or 5–6 monks) and 4 stupas.

Notes :
The site of what was previously Mandal sum of Khentii province was once occupied by the descendants of Yagaan Gachid who were considered to be part of Akhai Beisiin Barren along with Bayanmunkh sum. In the list of B.Rinchen, the Bayanmunk sum is listed at 481 with a monastery named Biligt Akhai Monastery. This recording matches our visit to the site. Today the site is considered to be on land of Darkahn sum.
