The site is on steppe range, 10 km. southwest of Bayankhutag sum centre in an area called Shar Khad of Togootiin Am valley.

There are only two remnant temple bases and a stupa which was built by the Buurdun descendants. On the stupa is a commemoration written which reads “Forever the holy lamas of the mountain will be remembered, Descendants of the Buurduns 2001. Dated 3rd of the Horse Month”

Notes :
A fable among the locals is that “Should there be a cauldron encountered in Togootiin Am, this must be filled up by any means such as stones or wood, as the full cauldron resembles your livelihood.” The mountain holy lama was a vagrant meditator whose dwellings were made from 2 closely-built gers.
